Hello everyone, and Happy New Year! I know it has been some time since my last post. I decided to take some time off and spend time with my family over the holiday break!

The card I am sharing with you today is from an adorable digital stamp set from Isabel Christina called Bunny Hugs. It is part of her new release, and you can find it on her Etsy shop along with all of her other amazing illustrations! All the images of this set are super adorable and are perfect for Valentine’s day cards or just, in general, to send to a friend!

I kept this card very clean and simple and used dies from Lawn Fawn for the card panel. You can change it up by putting the bunny in a square or circle. I decided to use the Outside Stitched Heart Stackables die for the heart and the Outside In Stitched Rectangle Stackables die from Lawn Fawn for the outer rectangle panel. I cut out the rectangle from the die and then placed the heart in the upper portion of the rectangle and ran it through my die cutting machine again. This particular panel is slightly smaller than an A2 size card. You can use put it on an A2 card base and have a small border around it, or you can cut your card base to match. For this card, I chose to cut my card base to match. Lawn Fawn does sell a stitched rectangle in the same size as an A2 card, but I don’t own it.

I sized and printed out my image and sentiment on some Bristol smooth paper with my laser printer. I cut out the image with my Brother Scan-n-Cut and used the following Zig Clean Color Real Brush pens to color it in:

Bunny: Warm Gray 2 (900) and Natural Gray (902)
Cheeks/Ears: Pink Haze (201)
Hearts: Light Carmine (21), Carmine Red (22), Tea Rose (220), Lilac (83)

Once I was done cutting everything out, I placed my image onto the bottom of the heart and glued it into place. Next, I added some foam tape to the back of the panel and image. I cut out another rectangle using the same die, lined it underneath the heart panel, and marked the opening lightly with a pencil. Then, I blended Distress Oxide Ink in Tattered Rose within the marked area. I put more ink towards the bottom and blended upward to fade it out. Once I was happy with the blend, I added the card panel on top. I cut out the sentiment and added the same Distress Oxide Ink over it, matching the background. To finish the card, I added some Metallic Silver jewels from Pretty Pink Posh and attached the panel to a card base.

This card was so much fun to make! I can’t wait to use the other images in this stamp set! – Mona
