Hello! My all-time favorite flowers are roses. Especially yellow roses! The inspiration for today’s card is from the latest challenge at The Flower Challenge Blog.
For this card, I used Altenew’s Vintage Flower stamp set. This stamp set is really beautiful! It has so many different types and sizes of flowers.
To make this card, first I stamped out all the layers for each of the flowers and leaves. I have listed all the color combinations I used down below. Next, I colored in one of the layers of each image with an emboss it pen, covered them with sparkling embossing powder, and heat set them. By doing this, I feel I was able to give the flowers a bit of dimension, sparkle, and shine. I cut out all the images and set them aside.
Instead of a white background, I decided to use a card stock with a grey striped pattern, which I thought would go nicely with the colors I used to stamp out my images. I cut a rectangle frame and attached it to the center of the background. Then, I arranged the flowers in a symmetrical pattern in the corners of the frame and glued them down.
So that the flowers would have some dimension, I added foam squares to the back of the blue ones. Then, I cut out six “awesome” words with my Cricut Explore Air and glued them together for dimension. Next, I stamped out “you are” from Altenew’s Painted Butterflies stamp set on some white cardstock and cut it out. I arranged and glued both sentiments inside the frame. I finished the card by attaching the panel onto a top folding A2 size notecard.
