Altenew Painted Butterflies with Catherine Pooler Ink

Hello! I love the look of color layering stamps, but I often struggle with lining them up correctly. So, today I decided to pull out my Altenew Painted Butterflies stamp set and practice a bit!

I arranged two stitched square dies on a piece of white card stock to create a frame and cut it out with my die cutting machine. I stamped the sentiment at the bottom of the frame. Next, I placed some foam tape on the back of the frame and set it aside. I stamped the butterfly onto a top folding card base the same size as the frame. I used the frame as a guide to make sure I stamped the image onto the center of the card. To finish the card, I adhered the frame onto the card base.

I decided to enter this card into the latest AAA Cards Challenge.

I think with a lot of practice and time I will get better at color layering stamps, and I look forward to making more cards featuring them.

Thanks for stopping by! – Mona
