Hello and Happy Friday! Summer is finally here. Yay! Today I made a card for the latest Lawn Fawnatics Challenge. The theme for this challenge is summer and the colors are so bright and pretty!
To make this card, I used Lawn Fawn’s Life is Good stamp set and dies, Lawn Fawn’s Outside In Stitched Square Stackables, Distress Oxide ink, and Copic and Ohuhu markers. I love this stamp set! When I look at the images, I want to go on a relaxing beach vacation.
I decided to make this card a shaker card. First, I blended two different colors of distress oxide to create the background for the shaker. Next, I stamped the “life is good” sentiment on the top. I colored all my stamped images with my Copic and Ohuhu markers. Then, I glued two shells and some sequins to the background.
To make the frame for the shaker window, I took two of the stitched square dies and taped them together with even spacing in between. I ran this through my die cutting machine with white card stock six times. Next, I glued five of the frames together. I attached a piece of acetate to the last frame with some strong double sided scor-tape. I added more of the double-sided scor-tape to the five frames and then attached the acetate piece to it and turned it over. Next, I filled it with some sand and sequins and attached the background piece to the back.
I glued all my images to the bottom corners of the frame. Finally, I finished the card by attaching everything onto a top folding square card.
I had so much fun making this card. It made me think of all the things I love about summer, especially the beach!
Thanks for stopping by!
