Hello! After a hectic past few days, I finally had some time to go into my craft room yesterday! I enjoyed making a card for last weeks CAS Colours and Sketches color challenge so I thought I would try this week’s sketch challenge.
For this card, I decided to use images from Lawn Fawn’s Yay Kites! stamp set. I got the inspiration for the kite colors from a 6×6 paper pad made by Pink Paislee called Birthday Bash that had these colors in a beautiful striped pattern. Instead of using the paper to cut out the kite, I decided to color the kite with my alcohol markers. Then, I cut out a circle from a Sizzix Framelits die set. I removed a bit of the bottom to create a shape similar to the one in the sketch. Next, I used distress oxide ink in Salty Ocean and a cloud stencil from My Favorite Things to create a cloud background.
I cut a rectangle out of patterned cardstock and glued this and the cut circle onto to a piece of A2 size white cardstock. Then I glued the stamped images in place. I used a foam square to attach the bird so the card would have some dimension. I finished the card by attaching everything onto a top folding A2 size notecard.
Well, there you have it — my latest card for another challenge. Thanks for stopping by!
