Sending Happy Mail

pretty pink posh happy mail

Hello and Happy Sunday! Over the weekend, I decided to make a cheerful card using the Happy Mail stamp set from Pretty Pink Posh. I think this stamp set is an excellent price point, versatile for many occasions and seasons, and coordinates well with many other stamp sets from Pretty Pink Posh.

To make this card, I stamped out my images with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I colored them with Copic markers and cut them out with my Brother ScanNCut machine. I wanted the envelope the bird is carrying to have a bit of sparkle and shine, so I colored it in using Ranger’s Emboss It pen and heat embossed it with some Hero Arts Sparkle Embossing Powder. Next, I cut out a 4.25″ square out of white card stock with the largest of the Lawn Fawn Outside In Stitched Square Dies and lightly blended on Distress Oxide Ink in Salty Ocean with my blending brushes to create a sky background.

I used my Circuit Explore Air 2 to cut out a grass border (3″ high and 5″ wide) out of white cardstock and a 5″ scalloped square out of patterned cardstock. (see below in supply list for information on the images I used in Cricut Design Space). I colored the grass border by lightly blending on some Distress Ink in Mowed Lawn with my blending brushes.

I taped the square stitched die onto my grass border, making sure I set the bottom of the die at the height that I wanted my grass to be and ran it through my die cutting machine. I glued the grass along the bottom of the stitched square so that the stitches lined up.

Next, I glued the mailbox and letters onto the grass and attached the bird onto the card with foam tape so the card would have some dimension. I stamped the card with the “sending you happy mail” sentiment with Versafine Black Onyx ink and heat embossed it with the sparkle embossing powder.

Finally, I glued the stitched square onto the center of the scalloped square and finished the card by gluing everything onto a top folding 6″ square notecard.

I can’t wait to use this stamp set again with some of the other stamp sets from Pretty Pink Posh.

Thanks for stopping by! Mona
